Summit Springs Battlefield Photographs
by Susan Monahan
Summit springs Battlefield is on private property. In the past it has been open to visitors, who were able to drive up to the monuments. A Sterling friend of ours, Justin Weber, recalls taking groups of students there to see history up close and actual. Recently, however, there have been acts of vandalism and there is often a chain across the road into the site. One can still hike in, though, and it is less than a mile to the markers. |
